Cut to Burn

Kingfisher offers a cut to burn service for rocky banks to prevent controlled burning from going beyond the desired area, this can be done directly before the fire is lit to create a fire break, for this we use the chain swipes behind a tractor which is now commonly used by many estates and game managers, these cutters leave all the brash in a swath/row as you might see after grass has been cut in an agricultural field, this is great to stop the fire as it also pulls water from the ground to leave it none flammable.

However, these cutters are only good for this purpose as the brash that is left would mulch the ground and prolong regeneration of new growth of heather and other key plants.
